AYĀT began with a simple belief: that what a woman wears on the most meaningful days of her life should be made for her alone. Today the atelier creates bridal couture, designer sarees and occasion pieces for women in Sri Lanka and around the world.

AYĀT is a women-led Sri Lankan couture house devoted to individuality, craftsmanship and the expressive power of dress. Traditional forms are considered through a contemporary lens, never losing the human hand at the centre of the work.
We believe in slow couture: pieces shaped for the person who will wear them, finished with patience, and created to live beyond a single season.
